Role Overview
Are you ready to lead the charge in new part introductions? As a key player on our Engineering Team, you'll engage in estimating, project management, and process development.
If you're a self-starter with a knack for leadership and an extensive knowledge of CNC machining, manufacturing processes, and GD&T, we want to hear from you.
Your role is hands-on, requiring deep experience in solving complex manufacturing challenges related to CNC operations and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft detailed process plans and instructions
- Document innovative manufacturing processes
- Create engineering procedures and standards
- Spearhead efficiency initiatives by recommending design or process modifications
- Accurately estimate costs of machined parts or components
- Lead the charge in quoting activities while supporting the Estimation team
- Coordinate production schedules to optimize manufacturing capabilities
- Offer manufacturing expertise and support innovations
- Initiate and implement novel manufacturing methods and equipment
- Analyze part or component drawings for manufacturability
- Prepare comprehensive operational reports
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses on proposed designs
- Evaluate production performance and methodologies
- Provide constructive manufacturability feedback throughout the New Part Introduction process
Must-Have Skills and Abilities
- Minimum two years of manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in G-Code and CAM Programming
- Advanced in interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledgeable in CNC setup and machining cycles
- Familiarity with various manufacturing techniques and equipment
- Professional communication capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Process, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering with 2-5 years of manufacturing experience
- Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 3D modeling software expertise, especially SolidWorks
- Knowledge of project management software such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project
- Experience with estimating software like Paperless Parts
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment: Split between office and factory floor.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Expertise in GD&T
- Proficiency in CNC tooling, programming, and various CAD/CAM systems
Utilize cutting-edge machines and technologies:
- CNC Mill and Lathe systems from renowned manufacturers
- Mastercam and Esprit CAM Software
US Citizenship is required for this position
