JOB REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Design


SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with global cross-functional teams comprised of designers, engineers, sales, and marketing to contribute to and support the development of superior automotive leather products.
  • Supports our design OEM customers through design and advanced sales by building customer relationships and becoming their trusted advisor.
  • Focus on specific OEM customers and programs to help drive company sales.
  • Responsible for leather construction and color development.
  • Responsible for creating enrichment designs from concepts to prototypes to production.
  • Responsible for creating and promoting sustainability initiatives.
  • Work closely with product development engineers to obtain customer design approvals and mastering.
  • Present trend shows and design briefs to customers.
  • Research global trends and technologies, help drive innovation.
  • Responsible for design project management duties including tracking projects, action items, and timing.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required, major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of related automotive experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on an assignment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
