Shift: 1st shift
A leading wire and spring manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Heat Treatment Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating heat treatment ovens and related equipment to ensure that metal components meet precise mechanical and structural specifications.
Heat Treatment Technician Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor heat treatment ovens to process wire and spring materials.
- Load and unload wire coils, springs, and other metal parts into ovens and quenching tanks.
- Set and adjust oven temperatures, timing cycles, and cooling rates according to work instructions or blueprints.
- Inspect parts before and after heat treatment for hardness, structure, and conformity to specifications.
- Document process data and ensure batch traceability.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and notify supervisor of any equipment issues.
- Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and handling of hot materials.
Heat Treatment Technician Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment; heat treatment or furnace operation preferred.
- Basic understanding of heat treatment processes (tempering, annealing, hardening).
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-minded, and reliable attendance.
