Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with bankruptcy experience to join our finance team. This is a permanent, full-time, benefited position This role involves preparing and reviewing monthly invoices, managing e-billing through client portals, and supporting collections efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage high volumes of billing activity, and experience collaborating with project and practice teams to ensure accuracy in billing narratives, time entries, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

Generate and edit monthly invoices and fee statements in line with internal billing procedures

Collaborate with attorneys and project teams to ensure accurate time entry and narrative adjustments

Maintain and organize billing records and project files

Track dockets and certificates to meet legal and client deadlines

Process complex billing arrangements and manage multiple funding sources

Monitor WIP, AR, and collections and provide financial summaries as needed

Review and apply cash receipts and holdbacks related to bankruptcy matters
Qualifications:
- Ability to come in on a hybrid work schedule (3x a week in office)

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

4+ years of billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment, with a focus on bankruptcy billing

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP systems preferred

Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Able to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
