Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce high-precision components.
• Perform machine setups, including loading programs, tooling changes, and adjusting offsets.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure part quality meets specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and work instructions to verify part requirements.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms, adjust parameters, and perform minor preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and adhere to all safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience operating and setting up multi-axis CNC Swiss Lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, GD&T, and G-code for precision machining.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for in-process and final part inspection.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tooling changes, offsets, and troubleshoot common machine and process issues.
• Strong understanding of various materials (e.g., stainless steel, brass, plastics) and their machining properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for programming.
• Proficiency in preventative maintenance and minor machine repairs.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or 5S methodology.
• Ability to train and mentor less experienced operators.
• Advanced metrology experience (e.g., CMM operation, optical comparator programming).
