General Description
The Marketing Assistant provides essential support to the Marketing Department by assisting with daily operations, maintaining consistent brand representation across all entities, and ensuring smooth coordination of team activities. This role contributes to marketing communications, social media management, digital reputation monitoring, property marketing initiatives, and market research. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable using various marketing platforms and software tools. They thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple projects while supporting the broader goals of the marketing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Create and update marketing materials such as flyers and property collateral and branded merchandise.
- Support branding efforts for new developments, including project name research.
- Distribute internal communications, including the company newsletter, through Mailchimp.
- Maintain consistent company-wide email signatures and update annual marketing guides for on-site and corporate teams.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Apartments.com within 48 hours.
- Create quality content to share on Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business Page through social posts with relevant and enticing information
- Audit company and property profiles quarterly to ensure accurate contact information, photos, hours, and forms.
- Conduct market research on rental rates, occupancy trends, and competitive supply as requested.
- Attend software demos and webinars to stay information on marketing tools and industry trends.
- Maintain organized digital file structures, naming conventions, and property marketing folders.
- Order, track, and management inventory of marketing supplies and promotional items.
- Build and maintain Notion databases to support and streamline marketing processes.
- Assist with day-to-day marketing operations, administrative tasks, and other departmental projects as needed.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and any relevant marketing software and the ability to learn marketing software/tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Ability to interact with others, placing a strong emphasis on the concepts of the Outward Mindset.
- Skilled at handling multiple competing priorities and deadlines while paying close attention to detail.
- Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or other related field is preferred.
- 1 year of experience (internships, volunteer work, or part-time jobs in marketing, communication, social media, or administrative are applicable).
- Familiarity with marketing concepts through coursework, projects, or certifications preferred.

- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials.
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Whole performing the duties of this job, a shared office space is required and the employee must be able to work collaboratively.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
