Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services in an elementary setting located in Hayward, CA. This role involves delivering high-quality speech therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting their communication and language development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric populations
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Providing therapy services through in-person and teletherapy formats
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with educational and healthcare regulations
- Participating in individualized education program (IEP) meetings and consultations
Qualifications:
- Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy and teletherapy delivery methods
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
Job Details:
- Location: Hayward, CA (Elementary School)
- Contract duration: Full school year (NSY)
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Serving students from K-12th grade
