Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role is essential for providing accurate financial reporting and facilitating smooth bank reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks
- Prepare and manage budgets for various departments
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards in all financial reporting
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts
- Generate and analyze financial reports for management
- Assist in the preparation of ledger accounts and journal entries
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with budget preparation and management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
