Job DescriptionTitle= Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehab (Travel)
Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 36 hours/week

- 58-bed rehabilitation facility
- Located ~5–6 miles from main hospital campus
- Focus on post-acute recovery and rehabilitation care
= Unit Details
- 33-bed inpatient rehab unit
- Average census: 25–33 patients
- Minimum 2 years experience (Rehab or MedSurg required)
- First-time travelers accepted
- RN or LPN candidates considered
=i️ Patient Population / Diagnoses
- Post-operative orthopedic patients:
- Amputations
- Joint replacements
- External fixators
- Post-CABG patients
- Trauma patients (MVAs, falls, GSWs)
- General debility and deconditioning
- Wound care patients (including wound vac therapy)
- Long-term IV antibiotic therapy
- Occasional dialysis patients
= Patient Ratios
- RN/LPN: 1:5–7
- CNA: 1–3 per shift
= Requirements
- Active Georgia RN License
- Certifications:
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
= Required Skills
- Wound care & dressing changes
- Wound vac management
- Drain and ostomy care
- Peripheral IV (PIV) insertion & maintenance
- IV antibiotic administration
- Rehab-focused patient care & mobility support
- No drip management required
=e Support Staff
- CNA: ADLs, vitals, glucose checks, ambulation, turning, feeding
- Unit Secretary: On-site support
- Charge Nurse: Yes
- Phlebotomy: Available (plus nurse draws)
- Respiratory Therapy: 24/7
- Hospitalist: Day coverage on-call nights
- Transport Team: Dedicated patient transport

- EMR: Epic
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
- Monitoring: Phillips
- Equipment:
- VS3 vital sign monitors
- Nova glucose systems
- Bladder scanners
- Portable oxygen & suction equipment
= Floating Requirements
- Required to float between Unit 1 and Unit 2 as needed

- 1 day facility orientation education modules
- 2 days unit/department orientation
= Scheduling & Policies
- Rotating weekends: ~5–6 shifts per 6-week schedule
- No call required
- Holiday requirement:
- 1 shift for each major holiday group:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas (Eve/Day)
- New Year (Eve/Day)
- 1 shift for each major holiday group:
- RTO approval through manager
- 6-week scheduling cycle
