Job Description

Medical Assistant OR Licensed Vocational Nurse needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Lees Summit, MO 64081.

Schedule:
Monday: 7am-6pm (30minute lunch break)
Tuesday: 7am-6pm (30minute lunch break)
Wednesday: 7am-1pm
Thursday: 7am-2pm
Friday: 7am-12pm

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Certified Medical Assistant OR Licensed Vocational Nurse

• Timely and effective communication as demonstrated through strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

• Required: experience with primary care services including phlebotomy

• Minimum of two-three (2-3) years’ recent experience as a Medical Assistant OR LPN

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform patient rooming, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and reason for visit.
• Conduct phlebotomy and proficiently perform lab draws following proper protocols.
• Administer Point-of-Care (POC) testing such as glucose, urinalysis, rapid strep, and COVID tests.
• Support both front and back office operations, including patient check-in/out, scheduling, and documentation.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and sanitized.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Coordinate occupational health services such as pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and immunizations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and clinic safety standards during occupational health assessments.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
