Opportunity Details
- Academic Internal Medicine clinic situated within our Grand Rapids hospital.
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient internal medicine services in a residency-based clinic environment.
- This is a Full-Time position, at 0.9 FTE; clinical FTE with no mandatory precepting time.
- Our Grand Rapids campus provides:
- Adult healthcare services
- General medical examinations and annual physicals
- Treatment for acute illnesses, including respiratory and skin infections
- Immunizations
- Minor surgical procedures (e.g., stitches, lesion removals)
- Online scheduling and video consultations available
- Office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Unrestricted call is rotated among all outpatient internal medicine physicians.
- The office is supported by 2 RNs, 4 MAs, 8 triage nurses, 2 BOCs, a care manager, and pharmacy services.
- Call responsibilities are shared among physicians within the medical group.

Requirements
- Open to recent graduates.
- Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with certification expected within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by medical staff bylaws).
- Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
- DEA license required.
- ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained).
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may involve:
- Providing direct patient care.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities.
- Documenting patient information in Epic EMR.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Supporting community health initiatives.
