We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Internal Medicine Physician to become part of our team in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a fantastic opportunity to significantly contribute to the health of our community while thriving in a supportive, mission-oriented atmosphere.

Opportunity Details

  • Academic Internal Medicine clinic situated within our Grand Rapids hospital.
  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient internal medicine services in a residency-based clinic environment.
  • This is a Full-Time position, at 0.9 FTE; clinical FTE with no mandatory precepting time.
  • Our Grand Rapids campus provides:
    • Adult healthcare services
    • General medical examinations and annual physicals
    • Treatment for acute illnesses, including respiratory and skin infections
    • Immunizations
    • Minor surgical procedures (e.g., stitches, lesion removals)
    • Online scheduling and video consultations available
  • Office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Unrestricted call is rotated among all outpatient internal medicine physicians.
  • The office is supported by 2 RNs, 4 MAs, 8 triage nurses, 2 BOCs, a care manager, and pharmacy services.
  • Call responsibilities are shared among physicians within the medical group.

Requirements

  • Open to recent graduates.
  • Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with certification expected within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by medical staff bylaws).
  • Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
  • DEA license required.
  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained).

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Providing direct patient care.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities.
  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting community health initiatives.
