Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing skilled perioperative nursing care in a dynamic surgical environment, this role focuses on operating room technologies and procedures essential for patient safety and surgical success. The position involves working a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, delivering care across a spectrum of surgical specialties including general surgeries, trauma cases, orthopedics, OBGYN, and endoscopies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for various surgical procedures with a focus on sterilization and patient safety.
- Scrub in and assist during surgical interventions across multiple specialties such as trauma, orthopedics, OBGYN, and endoscopy.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
- Respond promptly and effectively when on call to support emergency surgical cases.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards relating to operating room conduct and infection control.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an OR Technician or Surgery Nurse, proficient in scrubbing for a wide range of surgeries.
- Knowledge of orthopedics, general surgery, trauma, endoscopy, and OBGYN procedures.
- Ability to work extended shifts including being on call.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Current certifications relevant to perioperative nursing and patient safety.
