Step into a vital role in perioperative nursing, supporting high-quality surgical care in a picturesque mountain setting. As an Operating Room RN Circulator, your expertise will be essential in cases involving orthopedics, endoscopy, and general surgery. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in orthopedic procedures who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, daytime hours (40 hours per week)
- Call and holiday shifts are not generally required, though occasional exceptions may occur
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with eligibility to practice
- Minimum of 2 years of recent operating room experience, with significant orthopedic circulating background
- Confident supporting ortho, endo, and general surgery cases
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and work cohesively with multidisciplinary surgical teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Circulate for a variety of surgical cases, ensuring safe and efficient operating room flow
- Support pre- and intra-operative patient care, maintaining strict adherence to aseptic technique and protocols
- Monitor and document all intraoperative activities
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff to anticipate needs and respond to emergencies
- Participate in maintaining a safe surgical environment and upholding patient advocacy
