KeystoneCare is looking for a dedicated Prep Cook / Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness. You will work closely with our culinary staff to deliver high-quality meals to our patients and residents, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Peel, chop, and prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for cooking.
- Responsible for washing, drying, and sanitizing all dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the kitchen and dining areas.
- Help with plating and serving meals, as needed.
- Monitor food inventory and assist in stock management.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.

Requirements
To be successful in the role of Prep Cook / Dishwasher, candidates should have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food preparation or dishwashing in a restaurant or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Good communication skills.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
- Proof of Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
Physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged standing and walking on tiled surfaces.
- Safe operation of kitchen equipment.
- Exposure to heat, noise, and kitchen chemicals.
- Ability to work in a team and follow safety protocols.
