Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support a young learner as a dedicated paraprofessional in an elementary school setting, providing consistent, individualized assistance to a Pre-K student with significant communication and behavioral needs. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping the student achieve key goals related to communication and behavior management within both general education and small group settings.

Location:

• Rock Spring Elementary, Rock Springs, GA

Position Details:

• Contract duration: ASAP to May 22, 2026
• Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
• Caseload: 1:1 support for a Pre-K student with communication deficits and behavioral challenges

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a student with significant communication and behavioral needs
• Assist the student in maintaining personal space and reducing aggressive behaviors
• Support instructional goals targeting communication skills
• Facilitate the students engagement in both general education Pre-K and small group settings
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement behavior and communication strategies

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Paraprofessional Certification preferred; candidates with pending certification will be considered
• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and patience to support a student with behavioral challenges
• Ability to maintain a consistent presence and establish a positive, supportive relationship with the student
