Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide specialized support within a school setting in Marysville, CA, serving students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges. The role involves working two days per week, totaling 16 hours, with a focus on delivering speech and language services to meet educational goals.
Location:
- Marysville, CA (with travel to Wheatland, CA)
Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students.
- Work primarily with a moderate to severe behavior caseload.
- Assist in conducting speech and language therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress according to program standards.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance communication outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and structured environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) required.
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to manage students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to travel to the Wheatland, CA site as needed.
Schedule:
- Part-time, 16 hours per week (2 days per week).
- Immediate start with an assignment through June 3, 2026.
