Job DescriptionOffice Clerk / Retirement Representative Mercer Island, WA 98040
$20.76/hr | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
OverviewThis role provides clerical and administrative support under the supervision of the department manager. The position involves working with internal teams and external clients to support retirement and benefits administration processes, maintaining accurate records, and handling general office duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties including filing, answering phones, distributing mail and reports, and word processing
- Enter, retrieve, and verify information in computer systems
- Compose routine correspondence and compile reports
- Sort and distribute mail according to department protocol
- Direct external customers during appeals processes, coordinating with eligibility specialists
- Distribute reports such as COBRA letters, billing, delinquencies, and other assigned materials
- Order office supplies for assigned departments
- Provide backup receptionist support as needed
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsMinimum:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- 1 year of general office experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, positive and professional demeanor
- Able to accurately review and edit documents, multitask, and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree
- 2–4 years of corporate office experience

- Ability to handle detailed work on multiple concurrent tasks
- Adaptable to frequent interruptions and intensive deadlines
