We are looking to hire an analytical and detail-oriented individual for our Bookkeeper position who is willing to take on accounting and finance related roles supporting the sales and management teams. This will be a full-time position.
Primary job duties include accounts receivables and payable related tasks, record keeping, and resolving data discrepancies. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate proficiency with Excel and Outlook. The candidate should also have integrity and be proactive in their duties.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Reconcile items on the Accounts Payable Aging report by investigating and following up on past due payments
- Show initiative in finding correct Account Payables contacts to resolve past due payments and persistence in following up with past due payments
- Correctly apply payments to invoices
- Generate invoices for daily sales and account statements for management
- Perform other account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Proactive in investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries
- Support inventory management when needed
- Various other accounting related duties
- Willing to work with physical paperwork as well as digital files
Bookkeeper Requirements:
- This is an in-office position
- 1-3 years of experience or in accounting is a plus
- Two- or Four- year college degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Proficient with Outlook and Excel
- An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle potential tense interactions with clients
- Willing to use a phone and email to communicate with customers
- A desire and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
