Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist
Location: Fontana
Job Type: Part-Time
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to manage both outgoing vendor payments and incoming customer payments. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of AP and AR functions, supports financial operations, and maintains strong vendor and customer relationships. Responsibilities also include bank reconciliations and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process and code vendor invoices for payment.
- Reconcile AP aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Maintain vendor records and documentation.
- Assist with electronic transfers and annual 1099 reporting.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and reconcile bank statements.
Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare and distribute customer invoices.
- Monitor accounts and manage collections for past-due balances.
- Process bank deposits and reconcile transactions.
- Generate AR aging reports and provide KPI updates to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes.
General Accounting:
- Reconcile AP and AR balances regularly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain organized financial records and support audits.
Qualifications:
- AA or BA/BS in Accounting preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in AP/AR or similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, bank reconciliations, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
