Job Description

Zing Recruiting is partnering with a global logistics company to hire a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor in Pontoon Beach, IL. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm plus OT available.

Compensation: $75k-$80k

Supervise the day-to-day warehouse teams (20-40 associates), and ensure health, safety, and security compliance.
Assist and track performance-based requirements determined by our customers and site management, including organizing and scheduling work assignments, processes, material needs, resolving problems, monitoring progress, meeting deadlines, and reporting results.
Organize, prioritize, and assign daily work tasks / assignments, ensuring efficient and accurate results.
Supervise work for the teams and individuals to ensure maximum productivity.
Monitor the completion of necessary daily tasks and documentation.
Supervise teams to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Act as a representative of management in meetings.
Monitor and track teams’ time and attendance. Coach and correct staff requiring improvements. Coordinate with site management on corrective actions as needed.
Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring the floor associates

Qualifications include:

High school diploma
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse / 3PL environment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse lead or supervisory role.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
Experience and competence with MS Office Products including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to use a pallet jack and other basic warehouse equipment
