Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (48 upon request)
- 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Bi-weekly orientation opportunities
- Weekend/Holiday: Three weekends every six weeks, every other holiday
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active, unencumbered compact RN license
- AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent, robust Med/Surg experience
- At least 1 prior successful travel assignment
- Trauma level II background required
- Proficiency in EPIC (checkoff class required)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability skills
Responsibilities:
- Care for a diverse med/surg population, including post-surgical, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk patients
- Utilize clinical skills such as remote telemetry, chest tube and tracheostomy care, NG/PEG tube management, Foley/straight catheterizations, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood product administration, and PCA management
- Float within skillset as assigned between nearby campuses (notice and proximity details provided)
- Play an active role in a teaching environment, including precepting students or new hires
