Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sit Down - Four Forks Operator on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials within our warehouse environment using sit-down forklifts, specifically four forks, to support our distribution operations. Your focus will be on safe and accurate order picking, load and unload activities, and maintaining smooth warehouse flow. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere where your skills in heavy equipment operation and materials handling will directly contribute to our success.
Duties
- Operate sit-down forklifts with four forks to pick, load, unload, and transport materials safely across the warehouse
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately process orders and update inventory records
- Perform order picking tasks using equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions by inspecting incoming shipments and preparing outgoing loads
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure safety and operational readiness of forklifts and other heavy machinery
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper storage practices
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently during all operations to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts with four forks; warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo's, and reach trucks
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with OSHA safety standards
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry tasks
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking and inventory management
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or materials handling roles is advantageous
