Staff Accountant with the option of being part-time or full-time.
Ambassador Personnel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant who can effectively manage their time, prioritize workload, and consistently meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Three years of Accounting experience are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly bookkeeping reviews of financial reports prepared by bookkeepers.
- Identify, document, and discuss issues with bookkeepers and/or management as needed.
- Communicate financial issues, trends, and improvement opportunities to management for discussion in client meetings.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including maintaining documentation for accounts without third-party statements.
- Analyze account activity to identify balances or transactions that are not flowing correctly month-over-month or year-over-year.
- Understand and manage the full flow of financial transactions within the accounting system.
- Prepare and reconcile depreciation schedules and related accounts.
- Prepare and file 1099s.
- Prepare Business Personal Property (BPP) tax listings.
- File annual reports with the Secretary of State (SOS).
- File BOIR reports.
Excel & Financial Analysis:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Create and maintain monthly Excel worksheets for client-specific revenue tracking and forecasting.
- Forecast financial data and trends using Excel models.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with bookkeepers and management.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
