Join a dynamic and growing U.S. manufacturer in the garage door industry. As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of components such as weather seals, hardware, aluminum retainers, fasteners, and accessories. You will work at our Evansville, IN facility, contributing to the production and packaging of high-quality products for major garage door brands nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, count, and package finished products coming off the end of the line in various configurations such as coiled reels, pancake coils, and straight lengths in cartons.
  • Create packaging materials as needed for the production line.
  • Maintain production standards by adhering to quality guidelines.
  • Measure critical dimensions and test-fit products on gauges to ensure quality, documenting measurements for supervisor follow-up.
  • Regrind scrap materials and fill hoppers to maintain efficient production flow.
  • Stand for 8-hour shifts and lift materials up to 50 lbs regularly.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Physical stamina and agility to stand, bend, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to 8-hour shifts.
  • Capability to use hand tools for measurements as trained.
  • Basic reading skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a drug and alcohol-free workplace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience, with 6+ months in production, warehouse, or quality control as a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing/extrusion experience preferred but not required.
  • Blueprint/print reading skills are beneficial.
  • Experience with measurement tools and familiarity with extrusion processes are advantageous.
  • Forklift certification and basic math skills are nice-to-have.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing plant specializing in extrusion and plastic fabrication for garage door components. The facility has multiple extrusion lines running in a climate-controlled environment with machinery noise. Join a team of 60+ employees, working closely with 3-5 people per production line. The culture is laid-back but execution-focused, valuing quality work and communication. Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, and choose from three available shifts. Dress code includes manufacturing casual attire with steel-toed shoes and safety glasses provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
