Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Technician responsible for assembling parts for satellite systems in a manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires technical ability to ensure high-quality assembly of electrical and mechanical components. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, following work instructions, and operating hand tools.
This role is for a Structural Technician within the Control Sat (CSAT) structures group. This team is responsible for assembly and maintenance of the primary satellite structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble spacecraft structural components, subassemblies, and mechanical systems according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Install fasteners including rivets, bolts, nut plates, and specialty aerospace hardware using proper torque and installation procedures.
- Perform drilling, reaming, countersinking, deburring, and precision fitting of structural components.
- Assemble and bond composite and metallic structures used in satellite frames, panels, and deployable systems.
- Perform precision alignment and fit-up of structural assemblies to meet engineering tolerances.
- Work with manufacturing engineers to resolve build issues and improve assembly processes.
- Maintain strict compliance with quality standards, documentation, and configuration control.
- Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and structural integrity prior to quality verification.
- Maintain tools, fixtures, and workstations in accordance with safety and 5S practices.
- Support spacecraft integration activities including structural modifications and repairs as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED. US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
- Associates degree or certificate in technical area.
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace structures assembly, aircraft structures, or precision mechanical assembly
- Experience installing aerospace fasteners, rivets, and structural hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Experience working with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composite materials.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and torque tools

Additional Information
1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Two paid 10-minute breaks provided by supervisors/managers/line leads during the shift.
- Monday-Thurs
- One 30-minute paid lunch
2nd Shift: 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM
- Two paid 10-minute breaks provided by supervisors/managers/line leads during the shift.
- Monday- Thurs
- One 30-minute paid lunch
3rd Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Two 10-minute breaks during the shift.
- One 30-minute paid lunch
4th shift: 6:00PM – 6:00 AM
- Friday-Sunday (3x12)
- Two paid 10-minute breaks provided by supervisors/managers/line leads during the shift.
One 30-minute paid lunch Orientation will be on Tuesday for all shift starts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during assembly operations.
- Ability to lift and maneuver components up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated platforms when required.
- Manual dexterity for precision assembly work.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and spacecraft integration environment.
