Razor Health, a subsidiary of Razor Staffing is dedicated to providing top-tier healthcare professionals to facilities across the nation. We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists to join our team at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
We are looking for up to four (4) full-time Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) with Polysomnographer capability to support the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in respiratory therapy and polysomnography, and be able to work 8-hour shifts from either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:00pm to 4:30am.

Job Type: Full-time, Long term contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures using medical gases and administration devices.
- Administer inhaled medications to the cardiopulmonary system.
- Assist with intubation and use all ventilators in VAGLAHS.
- Conduct chest physiotherapy and postural drainage.
- Respond to Rapid Response Calls and set up CPAP, APAP, and BIPAP systems.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Perform arterial puncture and recognize the need for medical intervention if patient safety is at risk.
- Conduct polysomnogram and CPAP titration studies, sleep staging, and continuous recording of sleep parameters.
- Maintain patient information logs and perform electronic and manual scoring.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy (RT) Program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RT experience, with at least 1 year in critical care, and 2 years of Polysomnography (PSG) experience.
- Certification:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Credential with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) Credential with the American Association of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
- State Licensure: Respiratory Board of California and Medical Board of California.
- References: 3 Professional References.
Work Hours:
- 8-hour shifts from either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:00pm to 4:30am.
- No overtime or holiday work required.
Health Requirements:
- Pre-assignment medical examination within 30 calendar days of the first scheduled shift.
- Immunizations against Hepatitis B, rubella, mumps, polio, and other infectious diseases.
- Free of contagious diseases.
- Random drug testing and screening for illegal drug use.
