Job Title: Senior Payroll Analyst
Location: Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid schedule, Fridays are remote)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $40–$50 per hour

Job Summary
The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll operations, including U.S. and global payroll administration. This role supports payroll system maintenance, ensures compliance with tax regulations, collaborates with HR and Finance, and serves as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of handling complex payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayroll Administration
- Administer and coordinate U.S. and international payroll operations in partnership with external vendors.
- Process payroll calculations and transactions accurately and on time.
- Ensure timely payroll funding and disbursements.
- Handle compensation-related processes such as bonuses, merit increases, incentive plans, and retirement plans.
- Calculate and process final pay for terminated employees.
- Maintain payroll systems and ensure compliance with salary, benefits, garnishments, tax withholdings, and other deductions.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and reports.
- Estimate and report compensation accruals.
- Stay informed about federal, state, and international labor laws and tax regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR on payroll reporting, forecasting, and audit support.
- Provide payroll expertise for employee-related inquiries and special HR projects.
System Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day operations and system integrity within ADP and Vistra platforms.
- Implement and monitor carrier feeds and system modules related to payroll processes.

- Strong background in accounting, finance, and payroll processes.

Key Relationships
- Collaborates with internal teams across all departments.
- Manages interactions with external service providers, including those in international time zones.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of payroll experience.
- Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
- HRIS system experience required.
- Familiarity with qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, including taxation and vesting rules.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, including time and attendance rules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- International payroll experience preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
