Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurses in Med/Surg - Ortho and Neuro!\n\nJob Description:\n\n- Unit: 5300-1368 - Med/Surg - Ortho\n- Profession: Registered Nurse\n- Specialty: Medical Surgical\n- Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) \n- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience\n- Patient Ratios: \n - Days: 1:5 \n - Nights: 1:5 \n - Weekends: 1:5\n\n- Charting System: Epic (Recent experience required within the last 6 months) \n- Certifications: \n - BLS (required) \n - NIHSS (preferred) \n\n- Skills:\n - Neurological/Psychiatric experience (preferred)\n - Orthopedic care, including total joint replacement and ortho trauma \n - Peripheral nerve block catheters (preferred)\n\n- Work Settings:\n - Med/Surg \n - IV therapy/Phlebotomy \n - Respiratory management (Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management)\n\n- Professional Knowledge and Skills:\n - Isolation Precautions/PPE \n - Wound Care/Wound Vac \n\n- Daily Census: 30 patients \n- Total Beds in Unit: 35\n\n- Interdisciplinary Support:\n - Physical Therapy \n - Respiratory Services \n - Phlebotomy \n - Radiology \n - Social Services \n - Rapid Response Teams \n - Pharmacy \n - Transportation \n - Unit Secretary \n\n- Special Procedures/Unit Details:\n - Telemetry monitored in a centralized unit \n - Free-floating charge nurse to support staff \n - Patient Care Technicians and Patient Transporters available \n - House discharge nurse that floats across all departments \n - Additional Perks: \n - Free proximal covered parking \n - Discounted meals \n - Local discounted hotels available \n - Assistance with acquiring NIHSS certification \n\n- Start Date: ASAP \n- Orientation Hours: 20 \n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
