Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity exists for a Certified Surgical Technologist experienced in orthopedic surgery to contribute in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract role is based in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area, offering a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM at a leading orthopedic surgery center with advanced surgical technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist during total joint replacement surgeries, including MAKO robot-assisted procedures.
- Support sports medicine operations, as well as hand, foot, and general orthopedic surgeries.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and surgical protocols.
- Manage surgical equipment, including the MAKO robot, ensuring readiness for each procedure.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Proven advanced skills in total joint replacements and MAKO robot-assisted surgeries.
- Experience with orthopedic surgical procedures involving hands, feet, and sports medicine.
- Ability to work efficiently in a paper documentation environment.
- Strong adherence to safety and patient care standards.
