Full-Time | Non-Exempt | 40 Hours per Week (Schedule Varies)

At UCP Heartland, we believe in creating life without limits for individuals with disabilities. As an Employment Support Specialist (Job Coach), you will play a critical role in helping individuals secure, learn, and maintain meaningful employment throughout the St. Louis metro area.

What You’ll Do
- Provide one-on-one job coaching support at community worksites across the St. Louis Metro area
- Support individuals in learning job tasks and building independence
- Develop natural supports within the workplace
- Partner with employers, families, and vocational rehabilitation (VR) counselors to ensure success
- Manage a caseload of up to 25 individuals
- Complete timely documentation using electronic health record systems
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with all stakeholders
What Makes You a Great Fit
- High School Diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple clients effectively
- Flexible schedule – availability aligned with client work hours
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass Family Care Safety Registry screening
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle driving record check
- Employment contingent upon background checks and reference verification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds using proper lifting and transfer techniques
