Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist (Travel Contract)
Location: Orange, California
Department: Laboratory
Employment Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Night Shift – 4x10 Hours (9:30 PM – 7:30 AM) (Start time may flex to 8:00 PM based on department needs)
Pay Rate: Up to $62/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Job Summary
KTI Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) with a strong Blood Bank background to join a Level I Trauma Center for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently on night shifts in a high-volume acute care laboratory.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Clinical Lab Scientist experience (Required)
- Recent Blood Bank experience (within the last 2 years) – Required
- Previous travel Blood Bank experience – Required
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center – Required
- Experience processing 30–50 samples per day, including high-volume Type & Screen and Crossmatch testing
- Epic EMR experience – Required
- Experience with Blood Bank software (WellSky, Immucor, or similar required)
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- First-time travelers will not be considered
Required Certifications
- ASCP Blood Banking (ASCP-BB) – Required
- Clinical Immunohematology Scientist certification – Preferred
