Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, develop, and support mechanical systems, assemblies, structures, mechanisms, and related products throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using PTC Creo Parametric or equivalent CAD software.
  • Perform engineering analysis, testing, validation, and troubleshooting to resolve technical design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, drawings, models, test results, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and military specifications.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain technical documentation, engineering reports, design records, and presentations.
  • Support product development, assembly, testing, and production activities from receiving inspection through final system integration.
  • Apply GD&T principles and tolerance stack-up analysis to support robust product design and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, suppliers, customers, and program management to resolve technical issues and drive project success.
  • Support nonconformance reporting, corrective actions, and hardware disposition activities.
  • Work closely with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure designs are effectively transitioned into production.
  • Contribute to project planning, schedules, technical estimates, and program execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of engineering technologies, industry standards, and best practices.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of mechanical engineering experience in product design, development, manufacturing, or production support.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling and drawing generation using Creo, Pro/ENGINEER, or equivalent 3D CAD software.
  • Experience developing solid models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex technical challenges.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing, or production environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Experience with Windchill or similar PLM/EPDM systems.
  • Familiarity with military and commercial engineering standards.
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or military product development programs.
  • Experience with precision tooling, assembly fixtures, and manufacturing support activities.
  • Knowledge of nonconformance reporting, receiving inspection, and quality assurance processes.
