Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our warehouse operations and customer service team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of products, accurate inventory management, on-time order fulfillment, and a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational discipline, proven people management experience, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across both warehouse and customer service functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and customer service.
- Manage and develop warehouse and customer service personnel to ensure strong performance, accountability, and teamwork.
- Oversee order processing and fulfillment to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through disciplined processes, cycle counts, and operational controls.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and customer response times.
- Partner with sales, production, purchasing, and finance teams to align operational priorities with business needs.
- Resolve escalated customer service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and service enhancement.
- Support workforce planning, scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence, urgency, and customer focus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred, or
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in operations, warehouse management, customer service leadership, or a related role.
- Proven experience managing teams in a warehouse and distribution environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and customer order management.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and lead change effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or a technical product environment is preferred.
