Job DescriptionPosition Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) – Travel

Location: Gastonia, North Carolina
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP

Shift Details

  • Night Shift (12-hour shifts)

  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week

  • Hours: 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM

  • Total: 36 hours/week

  • Every other weekend required

  • Must work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves managing ventilator support, administering respiratory treatments, and responding to critical and emergency situations during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians

  • Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and intervene as needed

  • Manage ventilators and airway support for critically ill patients

  • Perform ABGs and other diagnostic respiratory tests

  • Provide oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy

  • Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment safely

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Respond to code blue and rapid response emergencies

  • Document all patient care accurately and timely

  • Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapy License (required)

  • Credentialed as RRT or CRT (required)

  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience preferred

  • Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred

Key Skills

  • Ventilator management and critical care respiratory support

  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures

  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced night shift environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Emergency response (code blue / rapid response readiness)

  • Attention to detail and patient safety focus
