A Licensed Therapist provides professional mental health counseling services to individuals, families, couples, or groups. The therapist assesses emotional and behavioral concerns, develops treatment plans, and implements evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients in improving their mental health, coping skills, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
• Provide individual, family, couples, or group therapy using evidence-based practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
• Maintain compliance with ethical guidelines, licensing requirements, and confidentiality regulations (HIPAA).
• Participate in case consultations, supervision, and continuing education to maintain licensure.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Active state licensure (e.g., LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent).
• Experience providing psychotherapy in clinical, outpatient, school, or community settings.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
