Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Receiver/Inventory Cycle Counter to support the accuracy of inventory levels across all branch locations. This role is responsible for performing regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and assisting in root cause analysis to improve inventory accuracy. This position may require travel to other Echelon branches to support cross-location inventory integrity efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in accordance with established inventory control schedules.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Document count results and discrepancies accurately in the ERP system (e.g., Epicor P21).
  • Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to resolve inventory issues and maintain data integrity.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to reduce inventory variance.
  • Support physical inventory events and reconciliation processes as needed.
  • Ensure inventory is stored in the correct locations and follows established organizational methods.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory records in compliance with company policies and audit standards.
  • Travel to other Echelon branch locations as needed to perform inventory cycle counts and provide support.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures while performing inventory tasks.
  • Counting and identifying product received against the packing slip.
  • Unloading freight.
  • Checking and verifying product received by freight companies is not damaged and orders have been shipped complete.
  • Put received product on shelves and in bin locations throughout the warehouse.
  • Utilize forklift to receive items off trucks, as well as putting away stock.
  • Entering received goods into ERP system.
  • Other assigned responsibilities, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor P21.
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed to remote locations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to accurately count and reconcile inventory under minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data reporting.
  • Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • This role requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying inventory items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders or reach high shelving when necessary.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to other branch locations.
