Job Opportunity – Lactation Consultant – Massachusetts

Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Lenox, Massachusetts

Schedule: Standard hours; holiday rotation required; no on-call duties

Highlights:

• Provide expert assessment, treatment, and consultation for lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Lead interdisciplinary care planning for patients with advanced lactation support needs
• Work with diverse patient populations requiring prenatal and postpartum lactation education
• Collaborate with care teams to optimize patient outcomes and family support
• 13-week assignment with potential for extension
• 8-hour non-billable orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts state license (RN, OT, PT, SLP, or Pharmacist)
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification with 1+ years of experience
• Minimum of 2,500 documented hours as a breastfeeding consultant
• Experience with inpatient lactation programs
• Outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultation, and/or teaching experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Reliable personal vehicle required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
