Job Title: Sr. Technical Sales Representative
Reports to: Manager, Global Accounts
FLSA: FT/Exempt
Compensation Range: $120,000.00- $150,000.00
Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus based on pre-determined sales goals
Travel Requirements: This position requires up to 50% of travel
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

MSI Technology specializes in the sales, marketing, and development of specialty polymers. We market Plexar tie-layer adhesives (manufactured by LyondellBasell), SPS peelable sealants, and SpeciPurge purging resins to global markets.
Together, Soarus L.L.C. and MSI Technology L.L.C., located in Arlington Heights, IL, provide a one-stop shop for specialty polymers.
Job Description
The Sr. Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for working with current and potential customers to promote and optimize Soarus and MSIT products through phone sales, customer visits, and account management.
Essential Role Responsibilities:
- Utilize sales practices to generate and develop new customers while effectively managing existing customers
- Analyze sales and market data to summarize and report on business and market trends
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and closes
- Provide product feedback and development opportunities to enhance sales profitability Act as liaison between Customer Service team and suppliers to confirm progress of existing orders
- Stay updated on sales and business job knowledge as well as maintaining professional connections and networks
- Provide leadership and assist in mentoring junior sales staff
- Promote positive company culture and business ethics through ongoing business relationships and activities

Education Requirements and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Packaging Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer science, or a related field from an accredited college or university
5+ years of technical sales experience
Preferred Experience:
Experience in Polymer or Packaging Sales, a plus
Fluent in Spanish, a plus
