We’re seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Specialist to join our Inventory & Receiving team at our Houston location (77055). Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm (subject to change with notice depending on operational needs)

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all inventory-related data entered into company systems. This role plays a critical part in supporting warehouse and store operations by maintaining precise records of product receipts, transfers, deliveries, and shrink adjustments. The Data Entry Specialist ensures inventory data integrity and supports the Inventory and Operations teams with accurate reporting and timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter product receipts from incoming trucks into inventory management systems.
  • Record and maintain product transfers, deliveries, and returns in real time.
  • Update and reconcile shrink adjustments, order details, and inventory corrections.
  • Review daily and weekly reports to identify discrepancies or missing data.
  • Partner with the Inventory Manager and Warehouse team to ensure all documentation and system data align with physical counts.
  • Investigate and report any data inconsistencies or variances promptly.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records of all inventory-related transactions.
  • Support leadership by generating and distributing data reports as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards for data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in data entry, inventory, or administrative support role.
  • Prior experience in retail, grocery, or warehouse environments preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software (e.g., Excel, FTS/Cygnus NetSuite, WIC tracking software or similar).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

  • Ability to identify and correct data errors independently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and follow-up.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Primarily a computer and desk-based position within a warehouse or office environment.
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Occasionally may require standing, walking, bending, or lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Moderate noise levels typical of office and warehouse operations.
