Our organization is currently in search of a skilled Radiology Technologist II to join our team and provide exceptional support to our partners in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. In this role, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging while embodying our commitment to service, collaboration, and outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive range of routine and urgent diagnostic X-ray examinations in both acute and outpatient settings.
  • Verify patient identities, review examination orders, gather pertinent clinical histories, and clearly communicate procedures to ensure patients feel informed and secure.
  • Utilize advanced technical skills to accurately position patients, apply necessary shielding, and operate digital radiography equipment, imaging software, and PACS to generate high-quality diagnostic images that facilitate timely clinical decisions.
  • Manage a busy workload, including add-on and STAT exams, while maintaining a focus on accuracy, safety, and compassion.
  • Evaluate image quality, repeat views when clinically and safely warranted, and collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA principles to minimize exposure, follow infection prevention protocols, and contribute to a safe and compliant imaging environment.
  • Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record, assist with contrast studies within your scope, and perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions or safety issues.
  • Participate in the orientation and mentoring of Radiology Technologist I staff or new hires at client sites, demonstrating professional conduct, effective communication, and reliable performance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Radiology Technologist II or in a similar role.
  • Strong technical skills in operating radiographic equipment and software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and infection control measures.
