Mobile Phlebotomist – Dallas, TX

We are a growing and respected mobile clinical laboratory based in Dallas, TX, seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist to provide exceptional specimen collection services in homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing settings.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who is comfortable working independently in the field while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities to perform on-site phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Accurately accession specimens and ensure all labels, tubes, and documentation are correctly matched and recorded
  • Enter physician orders and lab requisitions into EMR/LIS systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Perform both STAT and routine collections efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Track and submit mileage for reimbursement according to company policy
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and compassionate demeanor with patients, facilities, and team members
  • Support lab operations as needed, including clerical or courier-related tasks

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on phlebotomy experience (mobile phlebotomy strongly preferred)
  • Reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in labeling, data entry, and protocol compliance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and EMR systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
  • Ability to quickly learn new software systems, including LIS and EMR platforms
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Experience working with long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home health patients
  • Familiarity with laboratory workflows and courier or logistics coordination
  • Comfortable adapting to evolving systems, processes, and technology
