You are a knowledgeable tax professional, seeking to grow your career and to aid in the development of others. You know how to ask for help when needed, and take initiative when opportunities arise. You have 2-5 years of experience with more than just the basics in tax, and you’re eager to learn and take on new challenges. You work hard, know your stuff, and deserve to be recognized for it. You don’t need to be micromanaged because you have goals and are motivated to meet and exceed expectations. Most importantly, you are ready to assume leadership and planning responsibilities with client engagements.

About the Job:

Daniels & Erickson, P.C. wants to hire a thoughtful leader, interested in expanding their knowledge of tax preparation by reviewing returns and providing review points for other team members. You will work collaboratively with the team, using available resources to research complicated tax matters and demonstrate initiative regarding various client responsibilities.

Our next Senior Tax Associate will be involved with client billing functions, display a mastery of time management and organizational skills, and comes up with new and innovative solutions to client issues. They are interested in firm initiatives as well, understanding that involvement will only supplement their development. We will hire someone who is as comfortable working independently as collaboratively, who communicates easily with all team members, accepts feedback and critique as tools to improve, and most of all is ready to grow into an exceptional and critical member of our leadership team.

Public Accounting experience in the 2–5-year range is ideal for the success of this individual. Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master of Taxation preferred
  • Valid CPA license (or actively working towards CPA license or EA certification)
  • 2+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm


Other Requirements:

  • Hybrid position with work-from-home privileges after 90 days
  • Exempt from overtime pay; scheduled overtime required eight weeks before April 15 and October 15 deadlines
