Job Summary Medical Assistant
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting medical providers by performing both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience. This position involves preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, and maintaining an organized and safe clinical environment.
Job Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examinations by reviewing medical history, documenting symptoms, and updating medications.

Record and document vital signs.

Assist medical providers with exams and procedures as needed.

Administer medications and injections.

Perform phlebotomy.

Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, including pathology, urine, fecal, and blood samples.

Stock exam rooms and ensure adequate supplies.

Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by following established standards and regulations.

Answer telephones, schedule appointments, take messages, and provide information to patients.

Triage, review, and route test results appropriately.
Qualifications:

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare training preferred.

Experience in a healthcare organization is preferred but not required.
