Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position focuses on providing specialized telehealth services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within a school setting. The role requires delivering tailored instruction and support to meet each students unique communication and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telehealth sessions to assess and support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop individualized educational plans and implement strategies to enhance language, auditory, and academic skills
- Collaborate with educators, families, and relevant professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions based on student outcomes and feedback
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with program requirements
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Certification or licensure related to Deaf or Hard of Hearing education or speech-language pathology
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of communication methods, hearing technology, and language development in students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Proficiency in delivering services via telehealth platforms with excellent communication and technical skills
- Ability to work independently with a focus on student-centered support
