An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a nurturing school environment. This contract position spans the entire school year and is located in the Anoka, Minnesota area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student success.
- Deliver specialized instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings, employing various teaching strategies and accommodations.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences to promote student growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of Minnesota.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Patience, creativity, and dedication to fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
- Ability to manage behavior with positive interventions and support.
