Looking for an experienced Drain Technician to join the Knott Mechanical Plumbing Division. This position offers growth potential and the opportunity to move into other aspects of the plumbing field. Must be able to work independently and troubleshoot drain blockages and breaks in sewer and drain lines.
Job Description:
- Operate sewer cable machine(s) and/or sewer jetter daily
- Clear and clean sewer services, sewer mains, kitchen drain lines, and storm drains
- Remove and reset plumbing fixtures as needed for drain clearing
- Open manholes and cleanouts as needed for drain clearing
- Run other plumbing service-related calls when not clearing drains
Required Experience:
- Must have at least 3 years of drain clearing experience
- At least 3 years of experience in setting up, replacing sewer cables, and operating sewer machines
- Knowledge of drain-clearing methods
- Familiarity with the Rigid K50 sewer machine is a plus
- Familiarity with Spartan 100 and 300 sewer machines is a plus
- Experienced in towing trailers and portable jetters
- Experienced in removing and resetting toilets, urinals, and drain fixtures
- Experienced in identifying cleanouts, manholes, and the direction of flow
- Independent worker and self-motivated
- Ability to learn new equipment and operate portable and trailer jetters
- Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to troubleshoot drains and sewer lines
