Position Overview
We are seeking a Micron Solar Panel Production Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role focuses on the production and assembly of solar panels using specialized micro-welding and busbar techniques. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with fine assembly work, and brings a collaborative, flexible approach to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and integrate solar panel kits, including busbars and component connections.
  • Operate precision micro-welding and pulse welding equipment to join small components.
  • Inspect and test solar panel assemblies for electrical connectivity and quality standards.
  • Follow standard work instructions and maintain high-quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production leads, and quality teams to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

This position is assigned to Shift 3- Weekends: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (3x12s).

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or college coursework in engineering, electronics, or related fields preferred.

Experience:

  • Flexible on years of experience.
  • Experience in solar panel production, semiconductor manufacturing, or micro-welding is a plus.
  • Familiarity with small welders, pulse welders, or other precision assembly tools is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with solar kits, busbars, or semiconductor components.
  • Understanding of electrical connectivity, current flow, and basic testing procedures.
  • Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing production requirements.
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic.

Technology Stack:

  • Micro-welding and pulse welding equipment
  • Precision hand tools for small component assembly
  • Basic electrical testing tools (multimeters, continuity testers)
  • Manufacturing documentation systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a standard manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive fine assembly tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely handle small tools and components.
