As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will:

• Responsible for providing psychiatric services to clients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours. Scope of services includes outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.

-Counsel clients during appointments, as necessary.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, adolescents, and children experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorder.
• Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure proper patient care.
• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries.

-Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, reports, and summaries to entities/agencies as required.

• Design and participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience providing direct client care to patients receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders.
• Possession of an Indiana State Registered Nurse license, Advanced Practice certification/licensure, CSR, and DEA license. CPR Certified. Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health or as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Education Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required. Concentrated education in Psychiatric nursing.
