A Pharmacy Intake Technician opportunity is available in Houston, TX, within a retail oncology pharmacy setting. This role offers the potential to transition from a contract to a direct hire position after an 18-week assignment. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, focusing on efficient patient intake and prescription processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create patient profiles and accurately process prescription orders received electronically and via fax.
- Manage refill requests and handle incoming documentation from the fax server.
- Ensure timely and precise data entry to support pharmacy operations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician, specifically with intake procedures.
- Registration as a pharmacy technician in the state of employment.
- PTCB national certification is preferred to demonstrate high professional standards.
