Your Role
As a Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing diagnostic imaging exams that assist physicians in detecting pathology and planning treatments. You will:
- Operate and maintain advanced PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine technology.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals while ensuring patient safety.
- Follow established protocols to deliver high-quality imaging results.
- Gain hands-on experience with the latest procedures and technologies.
What You'll Learn
At SimonMed, you will receive training on:
- Innovative PET/CT procedures, including Axumin, NETSPOT, Amyloid, and Oncology Imaging.
- Advanced CT technology, such as Dual Energy and iterative reconstruction.
- A variety of specialized exams, including Coronary CTAs and Kidney stone quantification.

Essential Functions
In this role, you will:
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and staff.
- Obtain patient histories and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Perform a variety of PET/CT procedures with minimal supervision.
- Evaluate images for quality and provide diagnostic aid to physicians.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients during procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and operational protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Education:
- High School Diploma
- Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in an AMA-approved school.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Preferred)
- License/Certification:
- BLS Certification or “Hands-On” CPR certification
- Registration as a Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine and Radiologic Technology by the State
- NMTCB and/or A.R.R.T.(N) certification
- Experience: 2 years of experience in radiology
Physical Demands
This position may require:
- Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.
- Sitting for prolonged periods, with frequent standing and walking.
- Exposure to biohazards and chemicals as outlined in the MSDS Manual.
Dress Attire
Business Casual or scrubs, depending on the department.
